The design of "From Point to Plane" is characterized by a sophisticated blend of gray and white tones, supplemented by wood, to create a functional and neat sense of life. The designer has introduced many natural and outdoor sports elements, aligning with the homeowner's preferences. The porch, for instance, uses imitation water paint to emphasize the natural texture.

What sets this design apart is its clever utilization of space. The main beam inside the building divides the public domain into two. L-frame wood is used to extend and connect to the display window next to the TV wall. With aluminum strip lights, iron laminates, and mirrors, the dark wood partitions are three-dimensionally formed to become an open display cabinet from the entrance to the living room, clearly dividing the leisure area and the dining and kitchen area.

The configuration of L-shaped kitchen utensils opens up the originally narrow kitchen. The dining table continues the interior decoration, using the island counter to plan the site and echo the ceiling lines. The dining and kitchen space is completely framed, and the excess indoor movement is also digested. Visually, the large dining table replaces the traditional partitions, and the dual-function design makes the residence of smaller space more spacious and practical in an instant.

Chen's design also addresses the challenge of lighting. The overall space is well-lit, and the use of Honeycomb Shades can be adjusted in accordance with the sunlight at different periods of time, reducing radiant heat in accordance with the needs of the owner. This not only creates a comfortable space but also promotes energy efficiency by reducing the electricity consumption of lights and air-conditioning.

The project, completed in March 2021 in Hsinchu, Taiwan, covers a total area of 56.2 square meters. It is a testament to Chen's ability to create a functional, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally conscious design within a compact space.
